I am receiving freedom in Jesus!

All of the promises of God are yes and amen! (II COR1:20)

Tips for 1 Handed Users

I pray these tips will be a big help to those who are involved in the trial of single-handed use. Remember, God is the healer who wants you well.  His promises are true.  His word says that "Jesus bore your sins in his body on the tree, so you might die to sin and live unto righteousness.  By his wounds you have been healed." (I Peter 2:24--Revised Standard Version)  This doesn't say "maybe," it says "you have been healed."  We are healed by the blood of Jesus, praise God; BUT..., UNTIL YOU LEARN HOW TO RECEIVE YOUR FREEDOM, HERE ARE SOME TIPS TO HELP YOU!

1. To blow dry your hair, lay the blow dryer on the counter with it facing you. Bend your head over and use a brush to style your hair while the dryer dries it.

2. To line baskets with liners, place your  leg on 1 side to hold the paper while you use your hand to securely place other side.

3. To chop onions you can use a special chopper board found on the web site below that have the prongs to hold food securely while you cut your food. Here is the website to the one I have used:

4. To secure your bra, lay bra flat on the bed bed and lay upon it and pull each side from under you then grab both sides with your hand and say, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philip 4:13) then place the brackets on top of the other side and gently sweep across until it "clicks" together!

5. To peel potatoes use a handy mounted vegetable peeler. Here is the website to the one I have used:

https://www.sammonspreston.com

6. To open a jar, put it between your legs to secure it and open it with your hand.

7. You can fold towels by laying them on the back of the sofa and fold completely in half, then do it again.

8. The easy way to place food in sandwich bags is to put the bag in a cup and secure it by folding it over the top of the cup and fill it! For filling large gallon bags place bag over the mouth of your blender and fill it!

9. To keep skillets secure while cooking put 1 skillet on the front burner and 1 on the back burner and turn the handle on the skillet in front toward you. Gently press on the handle with your stomach while you are stirring food with a spatula. I have prepared many items this way. It works great!

10.  A great tool you can use is the "one touch" can opener. I got mine at Walgreens, but they have them at so many places. I highly recommend this!

11. After opening some cans it can be difficult to remove the contents. My tip for an easier removal is to place the opened can in the wedge between your stove and counter top and hold the can in place with your body by pressing against it, while using a spoon to remove the contents to put into your pan or into the bowl you are going to eat from!

12. I had my husband put a nail on the outside of the bathroom door so I could hang a little mirror on it. This has helped me to see what my hair looks like in the back as I curl my hair. I  open the door just enough so that I an strategically aim the mirror to see the reflection of the back of my hair in the big mirror on the wall. It produces great results!

13. To floss your teeth easily you can use the one-handed flossers at Wal-Mart or Kroger.  The  "Plackers" brand at Kroger are my favorite, because they are stronger than the"dentek" brand at Wal-Mart and don't break as easily.
Here is a link for more useful items for 1-handed users.

14. Keep a positive attitude through your struggle, knowing that God ALWAYS causes us to triumph, and gives us the victory, in Christ! (I Cor 15:57 and II Cor 2:14)  "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope, without wavering, for he who promised is faithful." Heb 10:23

15.  The most important tip I can give you is FOR YOU to trust in the healing power of God and receive (by faith) the healing he has already provided for you by his grace! Receive your healing, for his glory!
